Dead Island Riptide PC Game is action role playing a survival horror video game. It stand-alone expansion to the Dead Island developed by the Techland and it published by Deep Silver. The game released on April 2013 for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Riptide has serves as continuation of story to Dead Island 2011. Also with original four survivors, plus new survivor, arriving on the another island in Banoi archipelago. Which also has been overrun by the zombies.
Dead Island: Riptide have received mixed reception from the critics. Who actually cited that game didn’t fix any of it’s predecessor problems and nor add anything new to gameplay. Then a third title & first official sequel for series, Dead Island 2, which was revealed at E3 2014. That was originally set for 2016 release. However, since Sumo Digital has took over the development on March 2016. A specific release date hasn’t yet been announced. And along with first game, Riptide released for the platform of PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One and SteamOS under title Dead Island: Definitive Edition.
Riptide has takes the place immediately after ending of Dead Island. With four immune survivors: of ex-American football player name Logan Carter, undercover Chinese spy Xian Mei, rapper Sam B, and another one ex-police officer Purna. There along with the international terrorist Charon & native Yerema, asymptomatic the patient zero of Banoi outbreak. Survivors land on military ship after just escaping from prison island. They’re immediately taken into the custody by Australian Defence Force name Colonel Sam Hardy & Frank Serpo, who is a civilian VIP.
Passing out from the sedatives applied when actually they were examined, player’s character wake up to find ship overrun with the zombies. Serpo flees via the helicopter shortly before out of control ship crashes into rock. The immune regain the consciousness on shore of island of Palanai and found by Harlow, WHO researcher, who tells them zombie infection has spread as well.
